Tom – Business Relationships Manager. 1st year International Business student. Tom has a keen interest in business and is in charge of managing relationships with companies as well as overseeing the business part of the project. He ensures the project is sustainable and runs efficiently. Like Laura, he is interested in applying his studies to the real world, and his position in the team allows him to do that.
Oliver Thorp – Online content manager. 1st year Information Management student. Oliver in interested in how technology is the future, and this is reflected in the modules he studies. He has studied web design and has previous experience of designing online content fitting in perfectly with the project. As someone who is interested in music having been part of a band, he is also interested in the DJ school which is an important part of the project.
Gabrielle Ross - Fundraising Manager. 1st Year International Business student. Gabrielle is an experienced fundraiser, having been part of various campaigns in the past. She has fresh ideas of how to raise money and will ensure that we are meeting our targets. She also has a performing arts background which correlates well with some of the classes we hope to run in the community centre.
Henrique Cecconi- Brazilian/ International consultant. 4th year of Production Engineering and doing 1 year in Engineering Management at Loughborough University. Being part of Enactus has always been a pleasure for him. Henrique has been part of Enactus CEFET/RJ since 2012 in Brazil. Living in Rio de Janeiro for his entire life gives him the perspective and consciousness to realise the importance and the impact of this project.
Sidney Kolas- Brazilian/ International consultant. - Final year engineering student – Sidney is from Rio and wants to do something to make his city even better. He has some expertise in project management and is interested in learn about social entrepreneurship and business management.
Matt Ong – Founder. 2nd year Economics student. Matt spent the summer working in Brazil and had the opportunity to stay in Rocinha’s neighboring favela, Vidigal. Once back in the UK he wanted to get involved in helping the favelas and this is where the project first came to light. Matt has a strong interest in philanthropy having been involved in several projects in the past.
Imogen – Class Coordinator. 2nd year English student. Imi has been involved in several projects and is experienced in such projects. Having travelled overseas to various deprived areas, Imi wanted to get involved in a project that gives back. She has a particular interest in teaching and helping the youth.
